if only a better starting procedure is claimed, an electrical fuel pump may be the best help to fill the carb-chamber without cranking

Good Morning...In the rare instance that our Packard might sit for a week in the middle of our hot summers, she will still crank predictably if I use four short 4 or 5 second bursts of the starter...she always starts on the fourth one. I never crank for more than 5 seconds at one time for fear of damaging the starter. This approach also seems to ad a bit of oil pressure before she starts. Ernie
