Using similar valves and manifolding from the 734 Speedster, horsepower of the Standard Eight engine was up to 100. A 4.07:1 rear axle ratio was added to the former 4.38:1, 4.69:1 and 5.08:1. A Stewart Warner fuel pump replaced the former vacuum tank. The Bijur lubrication went automatic. Hubcaps were larger, tires smaller, disc wheels still standard though with wire or wood optional. Steering wheels dropped the number of spokes to three. |
