 Re: 1956 Packard Patrician, Right hand DriveInteresting comment! I did not carry out the conversion. I have had a look at the set-up and it appears to be a mid Seventies Ford Fairlane power steering box, with the original Packard pump. The Ford box is from a shorter wheelbase car and has a slightly larger turning circle than a LHD 56 Patrician. The box bolts to the frmae and there isn't much clearance for the Bendix Power Brake unit. I have had to raise the steering column as it was set too low compared to the original. other than that it appears to work well.
