| C - 1955 Caribbean at Rec Center - Side Lamp Detail BigKev 1955 11/10/2008 0:51 1695 0 0.00 (0 votes)Rate this Image
"Earlier this year, the good folks at the National Automotive History Collection of the Detroit Public Library allowed me to scan all the photos they had for the 1955 Packard Caribbean. I'd like to share them with the greater Packard community, but I'd really like to have them posted with the packardinfo.com watermark, for two reasons. One, so that packardinfo.com gets the credit and recognition for making these images available, and Two, so that people will rightly have to pay the DPL/NAHC if they want to obtain unencumbered versions." -Kevin Luedtke |

Not the greatest picture quality, a print from a very old slide taken by this writer at Hershey about 1964 - 1968 perhaps. I believe this is either a 4th or 5th series 48 Imperial Limousine, body type #69. As I remember this car was being used as an ambulance for a private church-supported hospital in southern New Jersey at the time it was "discovered" and bought for restoration. Takes a tall garage to house this lovely example of early Packard elegance. |
