Col. Sidney D. Waldon testing a 1907 Packard with several (un-named) engineers. It comes from the Detroit News when they received some original photos from the PMCC in 1934. Sidney Waldon was a Vice President at Packard and some believe that he began the use of the ?Checked Flag? to signal the finish of an automobile race.

Inscribed on photo back; 4-cylinder, 30-horsepower, 108-inch wheelbase, 2-person special runabout body, windshield, motometer, special drum type electric head lamps, 1937 Ohio license plate #3049, spare tire carried at rear, April 4th, 1938; Inner Circle article attached.
