Col. Sidney D. Waldon testing a 1907 Packard with several (un-named) engineers. It comes from the Detroit News when they received some original photos from the PMCC in 1934. Sidney Waldon was a Vice President at Packard and some believe that he began the use of the ?Checked Flag? to signal the finish of an automobile race.
