Here's a pair of photos detailing some of the engine details of John Hovey's 1901 Model C, taken while the car was on display at the CWJ Museum in Bernardsville, New Jersey a few years ago.

Inscribed on photo back; 1-cylinder, 12-horsepower, 75-inch wheelbase roadster in the left foreground with a Searchmont 2-cylinder, 12-horsepower, touring car built by Searchmont Motor Co. in Philadelphia, Pa in the center. This was taken during the New York to Buffalo endurance run September 9-13, 1901. The driver of the Packard was William Hatcher with assistant E.C. Oliver, and the entry # was C-24. The Searchmont was entered by E.B. Gallaher and the entry # is B-51, 52, or 53.

The driver is Russell Huff, head of Packard experimental branch. The passenger is Milton Tibbetts, Packard's collector/protector of patents. This car, license plate 30122 NY, was repurchased from the owner for use in testimony in a 1910 lawsuit.
