| This full-size clay model is what Packard designers had intended to be the 1957 Caribbean convertible. Styling would have carried over to a two-door hardtop, but a four-door hardtop was also in the plans - as was a limousine version. |

8x10 black and white photograph of a 1922-1923 Packard top raised. Inscribed on photo back; Packard 3-35, third series twin-six (produced 8/1919-6/1923, oft called fourth series), 12-cylinder, 90-horsepower, 136-inch wheelbase, 7-person touring car (body type #194), left elevation, note bright metal radiator shell with a decided forward bulge at front, bright metal headlamps (perhaps inspired by those on single six 126 & 133), no side lamps carried at base of windshield side arms, dual rear mounted spares, 1922 Michigan license plate #73-605.

| 1938 Packard Six, Richards (Australian) touring sedan

| This particular Packard was imported to Australia as RHD (most probably from Canada) and fitted with a Richards (South Australia) body. The body is identical to those fitted to the Studebaker President Eight in Australia. The Packard was exhibited at the 1938 Adelaide Motor Show by Sporting Cars Limited. It was then sold as a demonstrator to a New South Wales doctor. I purchased the Packard in 1972 with 80,000 genuine miles and it still had the Packard san-tex seat covers on. The car has 120,000 miles on it now. The main differences to a 38 Packard body is that the Australian body is 200lbs heavier, has hidden boot hinges, smaller rear windows, door handles on the body belt line and a 1946 slope to the windshield. The die cast door and window gearboxes are also very prone to seizing. |
