First, know what year and series your car is. You can use the Decoder on the left. You have a 1951 which is the 24th Series.https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/decoder/index.php

Then on the left go Factory Parts List, 1948–54 Part Plates (these are the diagrams), then Electrical, then find the 24th Series distributor. Here:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/partslist/viewplate.php?cat=19&PlateNumber=74&partslist=1948-1954

You need to click the group number (the 4.03001) to itemize the parts in that group:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/partslist/viewgroup.php?partslist=1948-1954&groupnumber=4.03001&PlateNumber=74&cat=19#resultanchor

Read through these results carefully. You will note that some are dependent on body number. But fortunately for you all 24th Series use the same distributor part:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/partslist/index.php?mode=partnumber&SearchValue=416206&ButtonLookup=Go

Now go to the parts cross reference on the side. Search for your part application and if it says it fits a 1951 (24th Series) you know it should work. Some of the entries are cross referenced by Packard part number directly.https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/parts/index.php?cat=19&catname=ELECTRICAL
