Thanks for the very useful information you provided. Seems like most US '51 200's had flocking and also some had a thin cardboard panel or Hog's Hair carpet on the trunk floor.
I've called several owners of RHD Australian '51 and '52 200's and so far all have said no sign of flock in their cars. Have a few more to call, then maybe we will see if the export cars had a different trunk treatment.

Adventures with a 55 Clipper and all over carpeting certainly seems to be preferable as it would be longer lasting / wouldn't wear thin and a lot more pleasing to the eye plus 'rattle proof'. More to come when I've made a few more calls.
