Here's a photo of the inside of tank.https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=110101#forumpost110101 The end of tube points down into the small triangular depression seen on tank bottom. IIRC, it is roughly 3/16" or so above the bottom & no screen -- just the open tube.
