Are you still working on the rear quarter vent window? I am in the process of re-assembling same for a 1937 115C 4 door touring sedan (1082)

The tag on the desk is interesting. I was given this one some years ago by a co-worker who said it came from a locker in the Philadelphia Packard Distributorship. Now I'm wondering if what I was told is wrong or did someone create an inauthentic piece of antique furniture to increase the value of the desk.

Finally being able to drive the car! Here’s it with our 1955 Chevy 210 Sedan
Second picture, getting to share the car with some relatives!

Third picture, it’s first show. The Big 4 picnic celebrating So Cals Luxury car clubs, Packard, Lincoln, Cadillac and Imperial. A great first event, the car performed flawlessly!!

Back in the car the engine went!

Pictures show John and I making some adjustments once we got it running. Ran great! Had a few small things to fix, one was an exhaust leak that my dad was able to help us with. One of the pictures shows him reaming a bushing for the heat riser on a mill.

More pictures, mostly of the engine being painted

John does have a nice collection of vintage service tools, and here is a picture of us setting up the distributor using one of his beautifully restored machines. It was a treat to watch him get everything dialed in on this.

Last pictures are the engine ready to go back to another friends shop where the car was at. A truly exciting day.
My dad let me use his 1940 Ford Pickup to deliver the engine. An appropriate delivery vehicle!

December of 2018 brought us to Engine Assembly! Not too much to say here so I’ll attach some photos

We are extremely thankful to our friend John, who allowed us to bring the engine to his shop and helped/guided us on the reassmbly. Pictures from December 2018 to February 2019

Well, continuing the thread 4 months later. Life can get a little hectic sometimes.

Not too much happened between June of 2018 through October aside from restoring things like the Generator, starter, fuel pump and distributor. All were we initially rebuilt by ourselves, although the generator would be gone through again. Gotta learn how to do it somehow!

The machine shop continued restoring the block to its former glory

In the mean time all of the instruments and clock were removed and sent to John Wolff, who did a wonderful job restoring them.

By November, the machine shop was complete and we were able to pick up all the parts!
Pictures are July-November 2018

PMCC chair and desk. Would be an interesting combo but they are for sale hundreds of miles apart.

Thanks all, thanks HH56 for the link to Kegan's blog, pretty slick that set up. I do have the body opening well braced, I hope. Alas I already purchased a rotisserie.
nice catch on the sign PackardDon

39Rollson, thanks for the photo, that is how I envisioned it working. the front is no problem, but the trunk body mounts just seem to have so much movement, the trunk floor flexes/rolls & seems to want to deform the trunk lid line. I'm hesitant to continue that way. Maybe if I sandwich some heavier material top & bottom across the trunk.....

Here is the October 1936 (Probably applies to Model year 1937, but they arent different as far as I've researched) Radio Installation (for Senior Deluxe receiver box) instructions I had located. See if that helps.

Most importantly, do some image research of the same model on the internet and then link up with a compadre' who has the same year with a radio so they can take some photos/measurements in addition to the data I've provided.
