Hello All
Have a pinion leak on my 56 Packard 400. Going to get the seal fixed. Already go the correct seal. Would like instructions or help of how to do it correctly as in the shop manual not too much on how to replace. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gary

Please read this. Very important...
A guy texted me to my number I put in the ad. Said he had a 56 Packard 400 plaque for sale showed pictures and price of $85.00 will do $100 postpaid pad to Ohio. Claimed he was a member of the site put lost his id & password said he was a older man. Like a idiot he said he takes paypal but would only do friends & family. Did and also said his friend had another plague showed picture and got another $75 for the other one to a different Paypal account. Told me it was not scam that he would go to the post office in the morning and mail it. I have not heard anything. This was totally my fault for forgetting myself when these items were presented. NEVER EVER USE FRIENDS AND FAMILY ON THAT PAYPAL SITE. I have no recourse with PAYPAL. I dont know if this will help anyone: Guys Name Luquon Rucker Email Luquonkayla@gmail.com other Christian Nellet Email Notme1678@yahoo.com Sorry that people in this world are like this so be more careful than me. OK. I finally decided to replace the tank.
Too many issues as it may be the pickup having pin wholes in it. Seems when i drive up inclines car misses and wants to stall. So does anyone recommend where to purchase one as I see them on Ebay. Please any help would be greatly appreciated!! I love the car and would like to get 100% without worry of driving it. Thanks again for all your support and for responding.

Recently installed a fuel sending unit from a well known Packard parts guy.
Went to a show and on the way home gas gauge read half a tank but it really was empty. Is there a specific way to install the sending unit in the tank? Is it possibly the gauge or sending unit. Need help with this guys.

So i am kinda relieved as this was just a simple fix. I did get the carburetor rebuilt so when i was installing the carb I had the Carter fuel filter to install. Just for the heck of it i blew through and it was clogged. I cleaned the best i could and installed it and now engine is working and I took it for a ride around the block no issue. I ordered 2 new stones but what can I clean the dirty one with in the meantime?

Hello having a big issue with my 56 400. My car is not getting fuel up to the carburetor. I replaced my fuel pump with a newly rebuilt unit. Pressure tested the line from the front to the back of car no leaks. Dropped tank no issues but I heard the pickup could be sucking air. Cannot see the pickup from the center of the tank. Going to drop the tank again and bring it to a shop going to try to drop another line to replace pickup. Any help on this would be appreciated.
