1954 Patrician Blower Motor Brush holder

Hello guys. I need help. I was replacing the wiring on the fan blower motor for the air when the brush holders snapped. I will attach a picture. Does anyone know where I can find replacements or how to make new ones? Maybe even where to find a replacement 6 volt motor. All help and replies are appreciated.

Thank you all for the various responses. For now I’ll only remove said cushions and see from there. I don’t have the means to craft such a tool to pull those pins out. I appreciate it greatly! I’ll be sure to post images of the mechanism for those interested if I do get around to “crafting” a similar tool.

Front seat cushion removal 54 Patrician

I’m looking to reupholster my patrician. I did the back seats first because they were easy to remove. Due to the 4 way power seat, the front seat is extremely difficult to remove. I have removed the four bolts holding the seat to the body leaving only that pin. Is there a way to just remove the bottom and back cushion without having to remove that roller pin holding the entire seat in place? I can barely see under there. Thank you in advance.

Thank you once again Don! And thanks to all for pointing me in the right direction. That cigar cable was completely fried all the way up that seat!

the lighter was from another 1954 Packard patrician so no issues there

I’m at school at the moment but the issue most likely is the breaker you mention as neither the trunk light nor back light function. (Only from the passenger side door?)

Your assumption of the wire going back up to the headliner being in a healthy state is correct. As far as i can see it go back up the top it seems perfectly fine.

I will use the image provided as reference. Thanks a lot!

Has any one started a post mentioning how to remove the front seat without damaging the four way power adjuster???

Thanks a lot for the insight. The seller mentioned the small hole burnt in the carpet but I hadn’t bother to check until yesterday. You are right. It would’ve been a great shame if after putting that new cigar lighter in to try it out the whole car went up in smoke. I will remove the seat and try to follow the wire all the way up. I was thinking about reupholstering anyways.

My mistake for not mentioning the year. It is a 1954 patrician. The cigar lighter was missing from the car when I bought it so bought one from another patrician of the same year and put it in. It actually worked (though barely) so it most likely is. So is the issue with the fuse you’re mentioning or just faulty wire splicing?
