1948 Custom series new tires

Looking to buy a new set of tires for my 1948 Custom series. I know the correct size is 8.20 x 15, and I believe Packards came new with Firestone tires in this era. I plan on sticking with the original type bias ply tires with tubes. I believe these cars had “super cushion” tires when new. Is there a comparable new tire to these I can buy? I just don’t want to buy a tire that’s too narrow and doesn’t look right.

A number of years ago these were reproduced in stainless and for sale for around $350 - $400. Does anyone remember who had them? This is the tank located on the outside passenger side of the frame.

Price reduction. Now asking $9500. Comes with a lot of extra parts from a 1956 Patrician that was parted out. I had it running a couple weeks ago and the engine runs good.

I believe there's about 5, maybe 6 of the coupe sedans known. I remember when the guy who restored the maroon & black one 20 years ago thought there were only 4. Then I showed him a picture of one I knew about that was (and still is) in the same family since the 1950's. There may be a couple more out there. A quick google image search came up with 3 right off the bat. A maroon one, a blue one, and a tan one.

Thank you very much. Next time I go see it I'll poke around & see what I can find. Car has been in storage 30+ years & just surfaced.

OK, thank you. It's a 5 passenger coupe. What's the beginning 4 digit code for those? Would the body number be stamped on the wooden sill somewhere? That would be the second half of the serial number then.

Looked at a 1937 1501 today. Serial number tag is missing from the firewall. It should read 1501 - XXX. Is the missing portion of the serial number stamped anywhere else on the car (frame?) so I could know what the correct, full serial # should be? There may not be a title for the car so that may not be a source.

Here's it is on the cover of a Michigan Region CCCA magazine. I'm pretty sure the late Paul Clancey of MI owned it.
