Tank is out of my 41 110 Packard Street Rod IT IS A 20 Gallon tank. It is in excellent condition. No rust inside or outside, no dents. I put an LS1 fuel injected engine in the car and had to have a tank with an internal pump and the stock tank will not work.
The tank is in storage and I will get it out and take some pics and send them to you. Did I price the tank? Cant remember Bill Jones 716 Center St, Garden City, KS 67846 PHONE 620 272 3186

Called olcar bearing. He has them in stock for $60.00 + $8.00 shipping, which I think is reasonable. I ordered it and can get clutch parts rebuilt from Ft Wayne Clutch.

The key to changing a master cylinder is to get the correct size diameter of the bore size of the master cylinder. The bore size on my 1941 120 was 1 inch in diameter. This is critical. Rule of thumb is 1 inch bore for four wheel drum brakes. IF you are going to change to disc brakes in the front still use the 1 inch bore. I use a Corvette Master Cylinder of mid to late 70's. You have to be careful ordering this item because many of them are 1 1/8 inch bore. This will not work. You will have a hard brake pedal and poor brakes.
You can go to a parts house and get any two chamber unit with 1 inch bore and they will work. Make sure the exit lines going to the brakes are on the proper side of the master cylinder. Some of the Corvette units have capability of running lines out of either side of the master cylinder. You can also buy them on line, but again get the 1 inch diameter bore. Good Luck Bill Jones

Pat
I was not aware the 1940 car had an electric system. Either the owner of the car doesn't know what it really has or at some time in its life has been converted to vacuum system, which I have no idea why someone would do that. I have a complete system out of a 1941 110 parts car and am trying to find out if it will work in his 1940 model car. I have not looked under the dash of his car to see what he really has since I live in Kansas and he lives in Utah. Bill J

I am asking for a friend who says his 1940 110 has a vacuum system. I don't know if it is electric or vacuum. Do not have a parts book to see what it is supposed to be. I have a complete system out of a 1941 110 parts car
And am trying to determine if mine will fit his 1940 model 110. JD at Max Merrit wasn't sure if they were the same or not. He thought both years used the electric system. I have a 38 Packard 12 that definitely has the vacuum system.
