Dell, thank you very much!! I for sure want to come meet you and talk to you about these cars.
my issue with the trans is it would not move in reverse at all with out messing with it back and forth then it would work, it was like the parking brake was on but was in the trans. Now I was able to pull the cable switch for the OD out farther and now it will go in to gear but sounds like I'm trying to put it in reverse while still moving forward?

how much would you charge to rebuild it if I end up needed that?

I'm sure of the model. How about parts like body panel, trim, bumper and grill? Any value in those? It has the bird hood ornament

Questions about parts car

I'm looking at picking up a 50 4 door for a few parts for my 48. My question is is hard to part these car out to make some of my money back or is it a slow process with packards?

The main part I want from it is the transmission and a few little things, the car is real rough and has been sitting for a long time but does have a title.
I'm completely new dealing with packards and I'm working with a very tight budget so if I could break even or come close after getting the parts I need would really help.

Any recommendations and thoughts on this will help thanks

Yeah I'm just gonna have to bit the bullet lol
I'm wanting to go completely through the brakes and was hoping I could save a little money with the shoes. I have 3 kids and a mortgage that don't like me buying car parts
