hi everyone , just fyi im still looking for a front rubber mat (black) for my 22nd series . if there is any leads out there on one let me know . thanks all !!!

Ok just for clarity , the Packard service manual is saying to replace the front coil springs by in bolting the lower control arm from the frame and letting the jack down to release the spring . Has anyone actually replaced the coils like that ?

front coil springs for a 22nd ? or a front floor mat/carpet ?

latest thing I've heard is using a heat gun and a body dollie to help form the nylon around the contours . now I did look again at mine and there is a piece of vinyl attached to the firewall and 2 rows of sewing holes where I assume carpet may had been but I thought the 22nd cars had rubber on the front ?

Soooooo anyone have a front floor covering for sale ? Of any sort ?

Yup your correct the 22's had rubber mat in the front . Far as my situation anything would be better than bare metal .

Every so often I'll post on here but I'm looking for a pattern or mat I can get for the front of my '49 22nd series .

I put new ends on my 22nd . I marched up a set of poly bushing end kit from energy suspension . Much better and cheaper than reproduction parts .

So I did some cleaning and I think this verify that this jack is in fact the one that came with my 22nd series deluxe 8
