Thanks for the cautions. Other makes with Treadle Vac report similar complaints. I'm sure it'll need a rebuild. I assume there should be a noticeable assist when the pedal is depressed.

Hi. Been away from the Packard family for a while. I am picking up a survivor 1955 Patrician this weekend. Decent shape. Ill be driving it 200+ miles home. Issues are: Right front window inoperative, power antenna inoperative, front heater core disconnected (leaks), wont go into Park, no spare tire, no front license bracket. Other than that, original sardonyx and white, original interior - very nice shape. torsion level works great. I'll post pics soon. Help with parts would be great Not sure treadle vac is working - very hard pedal, pulls to right.

Glad you are pleased with your new Patrician. It was bittersweet for me. My wife assures me that this isn't my last Packard. I am equally as please with Jim's 1960 Imperial that he owned for 40+ years. We both have lots to do.

Very poor taste on the seller's part. Disturbing really. I sent a message as well.

Ficken. They were charging $99 bucks for the rebiuld, plus 9 bucks shipping.

Gizmo might be a mileage card or something like that? I have never seen a car with a headliner with bows running from front to back except for some MoPar hardtops from the late 50's. I learn something every time I log in to this site@!

Love the comments here. You are exactly where I am with my car at this moment. In fact, some of your pictures look like mine - LOL. I'm waiting until I have the time to lap the valves and go from there. These guys know these cars. They have resurrected hundreds. I bow to their wisdom!
