The motor stopped working on the 41 110 deluxe I am working on. It has been determined however, the wiper motor and gear are out of a 47 Clipper.
Nonetheless, it stopped and I am looking for a rebuilder or replacement.

Any thoughts out there?

Ficken does not sell rebuild kits. I need a kit for my 1938 Super 8, model 1604. Anybody know who sells one.

There is a joint south of Chicago called Midwest Manufacturing and while I am not sure of their reputation, they have one of mine. Time will tell.

Vacuum wiper motor rebuild kits are very hard to come by, especially ones in good condition. Basically Ficken is the only game in town when it comes to rebuilding vacuum wiper motors -- he bought up all the remnants of the factory and is the only one who has the parts, gaskets, and machinery to do a complete first-class rebuild. The amount of time you'll spend looking for a kit, fiddling with the rebuild, and then having to do it over again in a year when you find out the seals aren't quite seating again (likely to be a problem on such an old casting) may be outweighed by the $100 you'll spend to get it done right the first time, with a 3-year warranty, by Ficken.

Drew, I agree, I've used Ficken for many years and they do a great job for a very reasonable price. But the unit in question should be a Stewart Warner 645E electric wiper system and I thought Ficken just did Trico vacuum wiper motors. Am I missing something here?
