I saw this listing on ebay, and wondered if anybody has experience with this vendor? Classic to Classic Fabrications out of Detroit.

The pic doesn't look like my floor, but I thought maybe it was just the wrong pic. I've emailed a question, but being impatient by nature, I thought I'd do some asking here in the meantime...
Thanks, Kelly

Been on vacation for a couple of weeks, so haven't had to deal with the leaky hose. Tomorrow, a checkup with the cardiologist to make sure my replaced aortic valve is still doing okay (wish me luck), then back home to New Mexico and the leaky hose. It's an annoying problem, but at the end of the day, no big deal!
Thanks for the input. Lots of good solution to ponder.

Anybody out there ever made their own harness? There aren't that many wires. The gauge wire necessary made be difficult
to attain, I suppose. Just wondered if anyone had atempted it, and how it turned out...
Thanks, Kelly

Drilled the compensating port at .030. The brakes work just fine, so I guess that was an okay thing to do.
Got it going and got it stopping. Now, if I can just get the bottom section of radiator hose to stop leaking coolant. Wow that thing is a bear to get at!
Thanks for your help fellas. It is much appreciated!

1948 brake master cylinder question.

I just completed the teardown, cleaning, and honing of the brake master cylinder on our '48 Deluxe 8 sedan. It cleaned up beautifully with very minor honing. The large port where fluid enters the piston area is nice and clear, but the smaller compensating port, the one through which the fluid returns to the reservoir, appears to be completely blocked. I've tried to push a small diameter stiff wire through it, to no avail. I'm wondering if I can drill it clear, but don't know what the diameter is supposed to be.Is the diameter even critical? I've looked at the illustrations in the service manual (figure 5, on page 4 of the brake section in my manual)and it looks like maybe 1/16", but I'm not sure. Can anybody help me out here?
Thanks, Kelly

Thanks. We've had the car for about 6 years, so all the stuff has been done, the fuel pump rebuild just didn't last.

We are looking to fly to Idaho, get our 1950 deluxe 8 running and drive it back to New Mexico. We need a fuel pump. Does anybody know of a supplier selling NEW pumps? Since the car is 1100 miles away, we have no core...
Thanks, Kelly

polarizing the generator?

I just replaced the water pump and hoses on our '48 Packard deluxe 8. I removed all the small components at the same time to detail the components and the engine, and replace some crispy wires (until the new harness). Anyhow, I know the gen needs to be polarized, but can't find which terminal to jump to accomplish that... I've got all the books for this car, but can't find it anyplace.
Thanks in advance for any help, Kelly
