thanks for the reply and a picture would be great. But to hold it in place there are 3 screws that come up from the bottom of the hood. What is the thought behind the bracket in the back of it?

In the Packard Parts book I see a "Bracket Louvre Support", part # 469687 for the 1955 Caribbean.
I wonder if anyone can tell me or show me a picture how that looks like and how it is installed?
Besides... does anyone have one for a Caribbean 1955 or knows where to get one? I do have the Louvre itself, just missing the bracket.

As always thanks for your help,
Walter

Caribbean 1955 Rear Fender Molding

I am looking for a rear fender molding, drivers side, the middle one. It starts at the lower part of the courtesy light and extends to the tail light where it flairs to a point.
I have tried the usual places like Kanter and Merrit with no luck. Any suggestions or ideas where to look?
Thanks

I have looked at the Owners manual but it only shows the bulb sizes. Thanks Owen for your information. I was wondering what makes them light up besides when the door opens. I believe that both will be on when the door is open as one it has 2 contacts.
But I am still wondering which bulb is the upper one the single contact or the dual one.

On the courtesy light of the 1955 Caribbean there are 2 light bulb, one with 2 contacts and one with only 1 contact. My question is which one is at the top and which one is at the bottom of the unit?
Also, under what condition are both on and what makes only one light bulb come on?
Any information is appreciated,
Walter

On the Cathedral tail light on the 1955 Caribbean there are some grooves just above where the backup light lenses goes. That gold plated "V" is attached there also.
My question is if these groves were originally highlighted in black or were they left in the chromed condition. It seems to me I have seen both versions on pictures. Just wanted to know what the original way is.
Thanks for any information,
Walt

Radio Antenna Cable

Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Walter Schoepf
Does anyone has any source where to get the antenna cable for the 55 Caribbean. I have seen a post here but that is 4 years old.
Actually the cable would not be that much a problem as it is a coaxial cable, it is the connectors on both sides that I am at an end as I have tried Radio Shack as well as some other radio stores. Any information would be appreciated,
Thanks, Walter
