Thirty years ago I started restoration on this convertible by fabricating and welding in a new floor. I did not have enough time then so put the car away until I recently retired when I started work again. My problem is that I do not have any idea were the two bolts on each side go that locate the plates that hold the lower ends of the roof hydraulic lift cylinders go exactly. Can anyone supply me measurements in relation to the rear of the door openings and the inner side of the rear quarter panels for these bolts please.

I think the bumpers are correct for 1937, I know the over riders are 38, could not locate good condition 37's to replate..

The left hand door (Aussie passenger side) has the only key lock, a lot of USA sourced Aussie cars were like this.

Hi Mal,
Yes I am a member of PACA and therefore know about Mittagong. Unfortunately unable to attend (just finished 4 months in US) and may attend 2010 wherever as my car should be well finished by then. Cheers

Armored Ignition Cable

Apart from originality, is there a reason for the armored cable from the ignition switch to the coil on a 1937 120c Convertible coupe. I can easily make a replacement cable but am wondering what the reason is for the heavy armored cable. Thanks.
