Optima 6 volt red top battery

Just can't stay away

I have 6 volt Optima's in our 40,47, and 48. Recently following the Texas Packard Meet, the 48 failed and it was less than a yr old. Replaced it and 4 months later it failed. Advance Auto refunded my money as they could no longer source them. I use a trickle charger on them and start them at least once a week. Do they need a maintainer or some other charger or am I just charging too much? Or, are they no longer dependable?? Tommy

Our 1940 160 occasionally locks up between 1st and 2nd gear when shifting. I have sprayed white lithium on all the pivot points I can see from the top. Is there a grease fitting somewhere not easily seen from above?

Need 2 used but presentable front door sills for our 48, Actually, I think 21st series would also work.

For many years I have not had dash lights. My tech has repaired the switch and now all the lights are working. However, even in total darkness they are barely visitable. Is there a reostat or something similar that can make them a little brighter I know they are at best a soft glow.

I am wanting to detail my trunk in our 48. Is there a source for the flocking material on the walls of the trunk? I am assuming it might be an aerosol spray. Thanks, Tommy

Yes, I think it is the same situation and I am glad to know they have been on this site. Regardless, I think it would be nice to have a spare. I would still like to find one for her. Tommy

I am trying to help a friends widow locate a generator for a 1934 model 1101 2 door convertible. She wants to keep and drive the car but generator was sent off and she is beginning to think it is lost, Does anyone have one for sale that would fit this '34 model 1101. I will put you in touch. Thanks, Tommy
