Thank you for the welcome. I just tried registering my Packard, but the form does provide for the model of my 39 12, which is a 1708, 7 passenger touring sedan. All the best, Richard

Mine has failed. I managed to find what's claimed to be an NOS '38 Super 8 voltage regulator. The 12 is rated at 30A, the Su 8, 28A. The generators are different and so are the numbers on the regulators. Anyone know if I can safely use the Su 8 regulator?
