Hello all,
anyone know how to attach the side grilles on my 1935 1205 super eight hood? I thinking there must have some type of clips, Screws might work, but hole very close to radius. Please see photo.

Wire Wheels Rub Strips on tubes

I recently replaced my tires on my 1934 Packard with Firestone tires. I had to call Coker to have one tire replaced after I notice it had bubble on the white wall.
When I did this I notice that the tire shop did not put the rub stripes in the gutter area that goes over the welded wire spoke to protect the tube, as the original had. Wire Wheel were powdered coated and the installer told me they were not necessary. I now have been told different and other Packard owners have told my that they should be installed or else you will probably get a flat.
Can anyone share some light on this subject?
Thank you for the help

Roberto Isola
Hello all,
anyone have or know how to replace the spring on the door latch? It seems straight forward, however I may not have the correct spring or maybe there is special tool to set the spring in the right position so it hold tension against the latch.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you Roberto

Hello,
I also have the same problem, however I was wondering once the latch lock mechanism is removed how do you replace the spring itself. Does anyone have photo or instruction how to actually replace the spring itself.
Thank you Roberto

Muriatic Acid to clean engine cooling system
#20
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Roberto Isola
Hello Folks,
My 356 Engine on my 1940 180 is running hot and without removing the engine out of the car I was planning on removing the Starter, Water pump, oil filter canister, maybe the distributor to help in removing the freeze plugs. The Radiator and water pump have been rebuilt. Then I will flush it with water and then add Diluted Muriatic Acid, followed with water and baking soda to neutralize the acid, Then re-flush the system with lots of water to clean out the system.
After all done, put back together to see how the engine performs temperature wise.
I have never done this and was wondering if anyone out there has. Apparently Muriatic Acid is nasty stuff.

Thank you Roberto
