You may want to check the "Foglight" switch on the dash. There may not be a switch but only the knob. If there is a switch then the foglights were likely dealer installed and the holes should be evident; if not the option was not purchased.

I went right out and checked and sure enough the #371437 'FOGLITE' knob is just bolted to the dash chrome and there is no switch. Thanks! for the heads up.

My efforts on this recently acquired car have been concentrated on making the stop and turn signals work and while I took note of the disconnected fog lights, I never noticed the dummy switch.

By the way, the car has obviously aftermarket KD SP-691 lamps on it and I found this interesting site that lists and identifies an amazing number of lamps and their manufacturers.

Our car has a factory fog lite switch, my question is, who was the OEM supplier for the fog lights and how are they identified? How are they mounted? Thanks

Hmm, I have used his search, see no charitable justification to condemn his . . I also have my own searches set up.

I went to an old junkyard yesterday, I retrieved this from a 1948 22nd series 2262, do any of the current crop of reproduction battery retainers have this detail? Thanks

Where can I find a photo of an original battery hold down for 1947 Packard Super Custom Clipper? Are these being reproduced? Thanks

casting numbers don't match the stamped engine numbers.

Of course not. That would be redundant.

Several engines are cast on a given date, with common casting mold numbers but each engine got its own unique hand stamped sequential number.

Many Thanks for the list!

Was the motor number stamped into the frame?
