1937 115c v. 120c Wiring Question

In the attached scans of the 115c and 120c wiring diagrams there is a slight difference in the voltage regulator wiring. Wire # 23 appears to simply be a (n additional) ground wire running from the voltage regulator to the generator. My objective is to verify/understand the new wiring harness, having 4 wires at the voltage regulator noted as A B F and ground and at the generator as A F and ground is compatable for either an autolite or a delco regulator/generator. Hope my question makes sense as I am no wiring expert. Comments please, thanks in advance.

I organized a group buy on 35-37 runningboard mats about 3 years ago at substantial discount. The magic number is 10 sets. If there is enough interest, I would consider making the necessary secret handshake inquiry again. Oh, and as for the wiring harness group buy, I need to tie up one final string in a coherent explanation of the difference between the autolite generator/regulator vs. the delco generator/regulator. Shall I start a quickie string on this, or is anyone paying attention here that can assist with an explanation.

Drat! I've been hoping there would be a magic answer for this multi-year tank stamping. Now all I want to know is what is the secret to removing a 41 tank. I passed this topic in the service letters looking for something else today and they made it sound simple...

Bingo! we have a winner. It is the clamp that holds the road draft tube to the block. Location is to the left of the left valve cover. PITA to put on, thats why the bolt was loose, maybe the only thing holding it on was baked on grease! Anyway, mystery solved. Hi to Annette. DAF

Mal - nice to meet you in person. Please edit/correct your posting as I am traveling with Nelson and Todd Bates. Nelson is well known in Packard circles in the States, as is his brother Warren Bates, who has been fussing with Packards since about mid-twentieth century.

I agree with O-D, highly recommending some cushioning between the reflector and the glass. (and the trim ring, a couple clear silicone dots, just to be sure...are you using the original clips?...) There was a reason for this in the design, no doubt, but more to the current day, simply price a replacement glass lens and you will immediately appreciate my jumping in. One more thing you may already have figured out, but worth mentioning for others, the brass screw at the bottom is VERY special, and is Left Hand Thread.

I'm gonna toss in an armchair quarterback comment here, (but know that I also have experience making my own top bows) My suggestion is to make it yourself, as long as you have a pattern. And don't worry too much about steam bending, if you don't want to go to that effort. My point is you are going to be shocked what the professional shops will want to charge for this, when I suspect you (or a good friend) already have the talent to do this. I will now step down from my soapbox and return this query to its originator.

I've not gone back to look a the pictures again, but likely difference is Standard vs. Deluxe radio. Check the accessories brochure...

I figured my guess at a 110 would be challenged...obviously someone has changed the door panels to the 110 style :) But I was right about it being a 4 door sedan?
