Those are the same as mine--mine are bolted to the bumper brackets, and still "chrome" for now.

Nicely done. I like that body color.

I didn't break into the factory harness; I powered my switch from the starter if I recall.

My front turn signals are bolted to a bracket that I fabbed up from an "L" bracket from Lowe's; harness is concealed in a mesh-type loom and then fabric-type electrical tape. Front turn signals were from ebay, a replacement motorcycle turn signal pair. Added the 6V lamps, bought a 6V flasher unit. Took about 3 hours to install, and two beers. Hardest part was re-doing the rear harness as the original was crumbling where exposed. Works great. No, it's not factory, nor does it look it. But it's adequate for now. And with new wiring and new connections, they are plenty bright.

They're similar to these:https://www.ebay.com/itm/393417889619?hash=item5b99889753:g:880AAOSw-rVg25iY

KM built me one from scratch for my '37 115c; mine cost $185.

Beautiful work, perfect fit, works like it should. Highly recommend this company.

With our brand F straight sixes, the least expensive upgrades usually resulted in surprising results. Header, modified intake manifold to fit a larger and more modern carb or a throttle body fuel injection setup.

Anything related to a Packard regarding boring or cam upgrades screams of parts made of unobtainium or less-than-thrilling performance.

But I'm not a straight 8 guy, my Packards are the lower end of the food chain.

Re: Needed: front brake drums 1947 Clipper and one wheel

I have a couple Packards, my '37 which was restored before I bought it, a needs-lots-of-time-and-money '40 110, and i bought a '47 engine from a clipper for the transplant.

That engine came with 4 spare wheels from the '47. I have no idea if they'll fit the cars....so they may be available. (also have hubcaps for that, too).

Edit: My wife's late uncle worked for Ike at SHAEF as a typist/clerk. He was a replacement for KIA on D-Day, and they pulled him out of the line on 6/8/44 because he could type and he spent the rest of the war working for Eisenhower. Lived down in Dallas; the first visit to his house I saw this enormous frame with SHAEF memorabilia, which is how I learned the story.

We named her for Amelia Earhart, who disappeared about six weeks after our '37 hit the streets.

As for me, I couldn't give a flying crap about a judges opinion on any of my cars.

That they are still in existence in anything resembling original is good enough for me.

I'm in it to keep them alive. If they're not exactly factory original, that comes with life.

I'm not factory original either; and neither are you.

Life and parking lots and wear and tear and moving violations have all left their marks.

Not all marks need to be erased. They are their own story.

That said, Hell will freeze over before I put a SBC in any of my cars.

I'll drive Amelia to the paint shop and have it matched. The Hickory Green is a lovely color, but the blue-green with a fine metallic is nothing close.

At least it doesn't clash like Kermit-The-Frog, but still...

At least with my '40 110 I KNOW that has not been repainted, and despite the fact that I don't care for the Cubana Brown/Tan paint, it'll get that same color when it goes back to all being the same color, patina included.
