MERRY CHRISTMAS from the 80s,

see the 62 stude, its a rubber band powered car. no packard in these.. there is, but can't find the pic/

Live steam on bottom, blue engine, foreground HO race track, on floor in front of engine,

23 + trains running, STD ga. to N ga on top.. \

takes like 3 months to put up, and finishing early AM ,, and one time never did finish, 1990

after the Packards are done i'll do it again, not the same without the Parents tho..

there is video but lost my best one,,,not sure what i have,

i did this outside too, have video of that also..

Hi, Dave,

with the oiling problems, (pump), cams bearings were and i think are a pressure source to check for clacking.

So going to see how the alum bronze wears.

I have new babbitt cam bearings from terrill ,,which were used to size these.

bronze cam bearings alum bronze

# 5 cam bearing going in first, tool my dad made, ft part has bearing in it

adapter goes into bushing, another on the opposite side to center the rod and bushing.

turn the nut and it goes on in, takes a little time, but better than beating them in, like shops do.

next up . putting cam in, then crank, then pistons.

my galleys even after 2 block cleanings my lifter oil galley running front to back both sides had gunk, air spray and long oil hole brush it took a long time to clean it out, 60 years of oil,, really can't do it with engine in car, you need to remove the plugs on rear of engine to brush thru.
