what about something like this, i know it would have to be taller of without a top on it but you could mount the lift in it instead of the car and put your chair in this thing -- and they are aluminum with a weight of less that 400 pounds so with your chair it wouldn't be to heavy for the car to tow i don't think -- but as always recomended on here you should have a cooler put on your transmission out in front of the radiator --- i have no idea if that would work but theres some ideas anyway -- good luck and let us know what you come up with -- plenty of people could probably benefit from your lead

Are you by chance going to Spring, TX this weekend, 9/26&27/09 to their show? Won't be in Packard, it went last year, be hanging around a white 37 Studebaker. Should be the only one there. Look me up if you go.

Bill

Heres the crazy "repair" work that was done sometime long ago --- i rigged up the light to still be adjustable but there is rust and will have to be redone, i'm guessing its the same rust area as the tri-fives

just got home and thought i would adjust my drivers side headlight because its pointing downward, well i knew there had been some work up there because its so obvious Ray Charles could see it,even now - but the weld had broken off on the top screw tab and then under the top of the fender where the headlight "door" screws in at the top there is nothing but rust there, and some cheesy shiny tape somebody put there probably 20 years ago -- this is the only area that i knew there was a bit of a problem and there will have to be some major body work done there when it gets to that point ----
this things beginning to look more and more like its gonna be a numbers matching rat rod LOL --- a buddy of mine stopped by today to give me a sticker for it that everybody will recognize, looks crazy on a Packard ---

i hear ya, there is no room down there -- if there wasn't the availability of remote resevoirs i wouldn't even consider putting it down there, but when this does happen that will be information he will have, i have to measure all clearances before i even remove the BTV
