Is anyone to the National Meet from the Balitmore area? If so, would you have room for a couple of 1937 120 front fenders? I won’t be going to the meet, but my son is in the area and could get the fenders from you. Then, I could get them from him later.
EDIT: BigKev has also offered to help me out if someone can get them to the Chicago area.

That’s a great idea. My son and daughter-in-law are in Sheboygan, so that could absolutely work. We’ll also be driving to Dayton in June, so there would be a number of places we could meet up.

Well, the stars have aligned. The network, starting with Flackmaster lead me to a nice set of front fenders. Now, we just have to figure out the best way to get them half way across the country.

TxGOAT - you are correct. I have a good lead on replacement fenders. Hopefully, that works out. If so, I believe I’ll be in decent shape in terms of rust other than the floor pan in front of the rear seat. I know the source of that issue was the roof leaking. Fortunately, everything between the roof and the floor pan appears to be solid.

Well, he tightened until something clicked. Unfortunately for them, it was the studs!

Another fun story I leaned from my dad.
Back in the early 60s, he was working on the engine with his brother-in-law (my Uncle Buren). Apparently Dad had broken a piston. When reassembling, Dad told Uncle Buren to be careful and not over-tighten the head nuts. They did not have a torque wrench and Uncle Buren was a very physically fit and strong guy. A couple of weeks ago, before hearing this story, I noticed two head studs that are longer than all the others. Coincidence? Not likely! Here’s one of them….

Thanks, for the ideas…
I have two different situations. The left fender has the break as shown. Conceptually, it is simple to fix, but can be expensive and takes someone with some good skill to cut a section out and replace the bad area. That is what I would want done. The right fender was damaged in an accident in the early 1960s. The metal there is all very solid, but whoever did the repair rounded over the fender, removing the ridge down the center in the front third of the fender. Again, conceptually, an easy fix…just put the ridge back in. But, that takes someone with some real skill. Again, that’s what I’d want done That said, if I can find replacement fenders, I’ll likely go that route. I have a lead to follow up on. We’ll see how that goes.

Drilled the hole. That really did make a difference. Very simple and sound concept. Thanks for the idea.
