I went with the size you did and no the radial doesn't get taller. Made my speedo app. 7-10 mph fast (78mph actually 70mph). If anyone that has done this swap and wants their speedo corrected there is a vendor in Fl,
Rowand Speedometer Co., Clearwater, Fl 727-410-6352 that makes an adapter re-geared to correct speedo. I have not ordered yet in anticipation of a trans adapter kit for GM tranny this year.

ps: I believe you will like the ride.

Great looking conversion. Will there be a kit available in future or is only an in-house conversion.
I talked to Bendtsens Trans Adapters early this year and was told they hope to have a kit for V8 by end of 2011. Either way hope to do conversion in near future.

There is a seal kit for the Bendix slave cylinder. I got one and I believe it was from Max Merrit.

If this discussion is on the V8 then why not remove the water pump, easy project, and have machinist turn down shaft to Mopar or whatever fan hub specs. Can always go back to original size with new pump.

Bob,
Mine does the same thing. I have a friend in watch and clock repair, both old and new, told me these clocks work by a set of points closing causing them to kick open thus winding the clock, he said sometimes with low battery they touch and remain closed thus burning the contact. A little cleaning, light oil and points filed might do the trick. Have not tried this on mine yet.

I believe the car built there was called the Marathon.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bour-Davis was an American automobile manufactured from 1915 until 1922. Production of the Bour-Davis was originally in Detroit, Michigan. The car used six-cylinder Continental engines. In 1917, this company failed, but production was re-established in Shreveport, Louisiana, and they were advertised as being made there as late as 1920,[1] when they offered five- and seven-passenger tourers and a two-seat roadster.[2]

In 1918, the Shadburne Brothers Company in Frankfort, Indiana was producing the cars.[3] In 1922, the company began selling cars under the Ponder name, but production ended soon thereafter.

If interested a short article about a car built in my hometown in the late teens and early twenties and named Bour/Davis. Hope you enjoy the article.

I too am close to this stage in prepping for bodywork and paint on my 56 hardtop. Any guidance in procedure for removal of front and rear trim and glass is appreciated.
Thanks.
