Re: Exhaust Manifold Questions

Shouldn't reduce thermal transfer rates by much. Iron is a pretty good conductor. Maybe 10 seconds delay for a thick tube, I would think.

Thermal conductivity for iron is going to be around 9.3 x 10e6 per 1/16 of an inch per second. A joule will heat a gram of air 1? C.

I think.

Not sure any are Packard--Quarter window too long & the curve on bottom almost looks GM.

Window regulators: One in center for a front door, other 2 for hardtop or convert rears--can't tell which but could probably fit a Packard--or be made to easily.

Door handles not Packard because of screw holes instead of place for clip to slide into..

Don't recognize anything else.

I recommend Classic Car Motor Oil. It is a multi-viscosity 15W40. It is a specially formulated with 1600 ppm ZDDP. The API service category is SH, SJ, SL. It is for older flat tappet engines for which the new oils are not compatiable. It is sold through the Indiana Region of the Classic Car Club of America. To order phone: 317-225-0040 or go to www.classiccarmotoroil.com. I am using it in my 1937 Six and 1947 Custom Clipper.

Pair of door handles, they attach with screws into the back of them. Do these look familiar to anyone? All of the stuff shown in these pictures is in really good shape so I hate to throw it away but it doesn't belong to my car either. Thanks for any input guys, Andy

These are stainless steel exterior trim, matching pair, they have clips on the back and the coffee can is there for a size reference, any ideas?

These are some kind of interior window trim I'm guessing. Two of them match and have a little chrome piece attached to each of them. The black and red one is all one piece and has a hole for a window crank maybe?

Are these for the hydraulic power windows I've read about? Any ideas?

This was also in the trunk. Obviously it's a light bar, any ideas what it's for?

These parts came in the trunk of my Packard when I bought it. None of them belong to my car and I don't know what they're for. Can anyone identify these parts? The first picture is of a very heavy chrome trimmed side window, I have both of the windows and the regulators for them. The chrome is in great shape and it's molded around the glass, these things look and feel expensive. Any ideas what these are for?

Roger: If you haven't dropped the oil pan and cleaned it, then I would use straight 30 weight NON DETERGENT oil of some name brand.
