That scenic view is overlooking Gordon's Lodge at Gore Bay. Yes, that's the Meldrum Bay lighthouse just past the stone quarry. Haweaters!!! I'd forgotten the term. I still have a jar of Hawberry Jelly in the fridge. A couple more photos . . . lined up at the lodge and the "facilities!" Sweet '47!

Yes, i have a few club publications around here that show the fogs on members 56's. They closely resemble the two i have. In the club pics they are mounted similar to the pic u showed above but seem to be wider spaced.

I'm also wondering about factory dash switch or maybe they were wired to the dip sw.

I need fog lites. Hate to drill holes. So i want them RIGHT.

What does the PAC or PI or anyones Judgeing Rule Book say about fog lites and where to drill the holes for 56's ?????

Don't recall ever seeing anything either on fog lights but have seen several cars with them mounted pretty much like this.

Just a follow-up:

Yeah, 3/4 inch deep. WHAT was i thinking???? I went ahead and bought a 1/2 inch drill bit (the only masonary size i didn't have) for $4.00. Drilled the hole about 2-3/4 inches deep. Drove in a stud like the one on the left most side of HH56's pic. But my stud was only threaded at the top 1.5 inches. The shank into the concrete is only 2-5/8 inches long. Total length of stud 4-1/8 inch long.

I'm glad i went ahead and splurged for the drill bit. When HH56 showed the pic above it reminded me that i already had a coffee can full of those kind i had forgotten about.

Thanks Owen, HH, Carl and everyone

BTW, standard residential concrete slab is no less than 4our inches.

Is this a PACKARD fog lite for 55-56????/ The recent accessory book added to this website does not show any fog lites. I have never seen nor heard of any evidenceo for information regarding the 55-56 fog lites.

What i really need to know is where to drill the holes in the front bumper. This is where I TURN PURIST. I have always hated to drill or mutilate any oem parts in any way so i's like to get the holes for mounting the lites in the rite location. Would there be any nomenclature embossed on the lite??????

Denny, I recognize South Baymouth and the Chi-Cheeman ferry of course, The Bridal Veil Falls at Kagawong, Is that the Ten Mile Point Lookout or Cup and Saucer Trail?, and is that the lighthouse at Meldrum Bay? As for the nutty Haweaters; I could write a book about those characters!

Here is a picture of me with the '47 Super Clipper along Highway 61 at Mount Josephine near Grand Portage Mn. One of the most beautiful overlooks in North America.

The shift into direct drive is often felt the same way as a gear change in an automatic. So, maybe they just installed a lockup clutch on the torque converter. I don't know if the cases for Ultramatics had the room to do that conversion, just a thought, which is worth about

Ultramatics already have a lockup converter. They were the first ones to have it.
