Owner bought the hood ornament from an antique store an it was marked as a 47 Desoto.

Well the body work is all finished. Now it's time to take all apart and start prepping the frame.

Hi Jack
We love the original 55' 56' Packard 2x4 air cleaner and wanted one that was are own. Its made of aluminum, I made an upper and lower plenum and welded them together. The air cleaner baskets or what ever you want to call them are made of steel with 8" K&N filters. The center plate and Lincoln emblem we had made using C&C machining.

Yes but doesn't have 4:11 gears only 3:50.

Yes we built it to be street-able it it came in on the dyno at 476 Hp. and 461 pd. torque @ 5300 rpm.

Finely able to get back on the Clipper, it's been a busy summer. We got the engine back awhile ago and was able to get it detailed. I'm still working on the air cleaner. I hope to have some pictures of it soon.

Hey MrBumble, that is a wicked looking motor but the owner is already on another path with the drive train. There will be a lot who will not agree with our choice but hopefully there won't be too many objections when you see the finished product.
