Is there a picture of the correct jack for a 1929 Packard 626?

after loosing most of last summer some and this summer to date over generator issues. Tracing down wiring having Generator totally rebuilt new bushes rewound armature and fields also rewound tried several cut outs and several regulators generator out of the car back to the place that rebuilt it 3 times. They told me it works fine. But still no charging. I decided to send it to someone else. While also looking for another Generator. I located 1 installed it Charges great I adjusted the third bush so charging rate is 7.40 at cutout and 7.15 at battery should this Be higher? The third brush was maxed out. I have to wonder if the generator shop ever checked it when I took it back. This problem drove me crazy because they kept saying It worked. I did find someone that reproduces field coils for owen dyneto Generators the Item is so new its not on the website www.mylifestyle.com I wanted to share that so someone else might get some help. I sent my generator and regulater to aer they said it would be at least a month till they could look at it.I have an interchange manual but it only goes to 33 what years will fit thanks Tom

My generator was totaly rebuilt and regulater was also checked out and they said it was fine. It did not charge ever with a diode style regulater.The only way I can get the car to charge is To start the car and hook battery wire to armature wire then everything works amp gauge shows charge I was told its the regulater so I tried the diode style still does not work.The generater shop took the original regulater off and did not put it on.I have a picture of a wireing for that generator but regulator dose not show were the field and armature wire hook up I will try to add pictures thanks for any help Tom

40-45 is about what it will do . I try to stay off main roads as much as possible but sometimes I need to go on them for a few miles and people today do not understand thats all the faster the car will go.I was hopeing to get about 55 mph thanks Tom

I was wondering if it is better to put high speed gears in the rear or to add an overdrive also who could be recomended for the southeastern Pa area to do this. thanks for any help .

the guy wants 13000 for the car I have to many things going on right now so if you want his phone number let me know the car is in delaware I live 150 miles away but maybe he could send you photos. I did notice the driver door does not close right but it may be the latch or an ajustment I saw no damage in that area. I have been working 65 hours a week for over a year and have very little spare time for anything thanks Tom

Does anyone know how many 1946 packard clipper coupes were made.I just came across 1 for sale paint is about a 7 out of 10 runs and drives interior is original in drver condition chrome is 9 out of ten any idea to the value. thanks Tom
