Okay, now a question when buying. Can I buy a Super or Custom 8 exhaust or are those specific to the bigger engines? I can't seem to find anything for Deluxe 8.

Thanks, BigKev. I will probably remove the fenders to paint, should I do this before I get a new paint job on he body?

I would also like to repaint the engine block in my car. Not because it's an incorrect colour, but because the paint is aweful. While in the process I would also repaint most of the engine components as well. What colour should all of this be (the block, oil cap, air filter, oil filter, generator, etc.)?

Last time I started up the Packard, I noticed an odd sound that I never heard before on this car. It was obviously something with the exhaust and when I listened, the engine kept bogging down. Turns out there is a hole in my muffler. Anybody know where I can get a new aluminumized one for a decent price. I've already checked E-bay. Thanks!

Alright, I finished the trunk, sort of. I scraped almost everything out, then power sanded the whole floor and the spare tire area. I then sprayed new sound deadener over the very smooth trunk surface. I need to spray more deadener, however, because that was only one layer.

I saw that car on e-Bay a few days ago. That's a beautiful car! It would be a great choice for a restoration......if you're willing to spend 50K. And then besides finances, the time you put into working on it. You could buy all of your parts immediately and have it painted and say you'll assemble it later. Then something keeps coming up the same day that you want to do something with the car. Overall, that convertible is a very pretty car, but it would take some time and money to get it where you want it. I don't even know that I'd spend more than $15,000 on that car. Good luck!

I've written about this before, but I am again wondering if it is at all possible to install a backup lamp on my 23rd series. It DID NOT originally come with one (I'm still deciding whether or not I should put one on), but I am just wondering if it is even possible to do so, and if it is, how? Thanks!

Hadn't seen your post here yet, Ozstatman, so I took the liberty of the Owner's Registry question!

Say, Hugh Turnipseed, does that car you bought happen to be silver? I saw that one on e-Bay. That's a nice car! Hope the restoration goes well! You should put your car in the Owner's Registry (look to the side of the site under Main Menu). Good luck!
