Radiator Coolant Foaming

Greetings,

I have a '30 733 open car and am having problems with the antifreeze foaming and coming out the top of the radiator.

The owners manual says the car should have 5 gallons in the cooling system and the most I can get in is 4 which goes to the top of the radiator. Did the closed cars have a heater inside that would account for the extra gallon or might I have a blockage somewhere?

Thanks for your help.

Greetings All,

Does anyone know of a source for diagrams and instructions on adjusting the Model 51 Carb? I'm getting a "flat" spot when I accelerate where the engine starts to lose power.

Thanks

Does anyone know of an "easy" way to get at the starter switch to remove it from the dashboard with taking the dashboard out?

Thanks
Gene

Thanks, I'll check with him. Probably will need the rotor as well.

Thanks, a couple of grooves are deep, wondering if I can use some solder to fill them a bit?

Did you put the foil on the flat side or all around?

Greetings All,

Just wondering if anyone has found a source for the distributor cap and rotors? I purchased one a while back from Packards International and finally installed it this summer and had problems with it. Seems as though the rotor did not fit snug and rotated with some wobble causing a groove to be worn in the cap's contact points.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Gene
