Speedo Cable 43 Clipper

Tall Steve
Looking for suggestions on how to diagnose my inoperative speedometer. My 53 speedometer worded when I got it. Upgraded the transmission to OD. Speedometer worked a short while. I had another cable that came with OD transmission so changed it out. Not sure which cable is in the car now and if there is a difference between the two cables. What thoughts do you have as dad as trouble shooting this small problem?

Thanks

Hey,

I have a 53 Clipper. The trim piece at the very front of the car on the right side fender is missing. About a foot long. Anyone have this part? Thanks

I bought a new tank and sender from Kanter. Installed and does not work properly. I am very interested in buying an alternative to the Kanter sender. What is the consensus of the group for a 53 Clipper? Thanks

Thank you sir. Appreciate your wealth of information once again. My Clipper does not have a mechanical fuel pump. It has the airtex installed now. I ordered a replacement from Amazon. Best always

Thanks for that information. I have the NAPA unit installed now. I didn't know about the resistor being needed to run the dash indicator bulbs. Is there a direct replacement flasher still available?

Thanks for all the information. Turned out to be the flasher. When I jumpered the battery lead to the opposite leg of the flasher receptacle, all turn signals lights came on. Battery to middle leg turns on dash signals. Easy enough
