Points are before my time not too sound stupid but if I ran a new test wire to + side of coil then a new connector too the - side of coil and tried a differnt coil and no spark then put a new condenser in the distribtor and I did check the wire inside the distribtor and yes it is brittle but not touching the side of distribtor I checked for power at the points there is power there but no spark coming out of coil wire what am I missing

well the brakes still need done i just steped out of the paint booth as i was painting my wheels and still trying to get the old girl fird up. it was froze up tight i got that taken care of. but i can not get this thing to put out a spark too save my life. jumped the coil condensor new hard wire to coil and then to the distribtor still notta its killing me. i have done every thing i can think of to get this thing to light ??????????

on the pedal it did say power, ohh and no no driving yet lol have the car in my paint booth up on stands and going to get it all freshed up.

wow thank you....... this is a barn fresh find with 50k on it the older lady that i bought it from said her husban bought it new after he died they put it in the barn as she said it was the too ugly for her to drive lol so i hope its all original. now how about the brakes where is the master or where do you put fluid lol

hello my name is al i own a salvage yard i build wrecks and harleys in my down time. i have been around cars for a long time but never a packard. i want to build a clean all original car i have just picked up a 1955 2 door hard top clipper (5547-1833) that is all there has been painted one time but its clean and i know jack about packards and i need some info before i get started 1 is this a 12 volt car or has some one converted it ?? 2 there are 2 engines in this car ?? how do i tell witch one i have ???
