I don't know if this is possible but could you use 56 drums that have the lug nuts.

O.K.

bad choice of words. The mechanic poured white vineger down the spark plug hole in each cylinder and waited 24 hours. been running on the engine ever since.

according to the vin tag it is 5667 which makes it a custom constellation. As to the hood being from a 55 that I am not sure. what is the difference between a 55 and 56

I think that is just sun reflecting on the firewall. It currently does not have a wiper motor in it, I am going to pirate the one that is on the 56 400 disastermobile that I am parting.

Just a little more info. All of the brakes work. Had to put a new starter in but I had a rebuilt one in the parts stash from "Packard Nest". Had the mechanic run wires to the leveler motor and to a switch and the car is now level.

I know I know its time to take pictures. Will try to get to it this week.

Hey how about that I entered them in and they came out. The pictures are a bit grainy, but that is my cameras fault.

Brandon:

another old fogey here. Welcome to the board. As you can see there is a wealth of knowledge and info out here. On the parts side I may be of some help. Elsewhere on the board are some posts relating to a bunch of parts that I bought for 55/56. If you need anything let me know.

Jselph:

There is one other way you might want to consider. Put the whole thing in a bowl and fill the bowl with white vinegar.
let it set for 24 hours. At that point it should come unstuck. This was done on my Patrician engine after sitting for 8 years. I have been running on that engine for the last 10 years.

Good luck

Also one of those year/models sported the divider window. Don't know if it was an option or standard. We had a retired colonel down here that had a convertible with the divider window.
