I hate to say it but rusty is 100 percent right on this one, i have a half dissembled 56 clipper in the back yard i worked on for about six months and a shiny 56 came on ebay for 9k and i knew i could not finnish the other for the same $ so i have this awesome parts car (my private junk yard ) and my inner 2 year old got it now !!! i bought a plymouth for 14k and by the time i was finished with the front end paint gas tank brakes ac custom dash and sound system i am in it for around 35 k the car probably would sell on ebay for around 20k so buy the best you can and just tweak it if money is an issue. been there and have the t shirt.

No heat problems at all. But i cheated. I mounted a NEW Ford truck radiator bout at AAP for about $120. It fits just fine but is a little trickly to remove and replace due to it's size.
Packard v8
what ford radiator did you use? and does it have the trans cooler lines too ? did you reroute them add them in or just leave the trans going through the lower rad hose cooler from the factory?

try secret audio, they have the head under the seat and a remote which keeps everything looking original. if you get one of the older models they are not too expensive the new one with the 10 player cd is a little high.

help I have a 56 clipper custom and the one subsystem i thought i would not have to deal with has reared its ugly head . I jacked the car up from in front of the tire and sprung the right torsion bar out of the stirrup i have also lost the small cup that goes between the two parts, looking in the manual the first thing i noticed was a warning not to jack the car from there.I need info on obtaining the threaded rod tool and any info on the correct procedure would be appreciated have tried brute force method to no avail. i have been working on this car for about 4 months mostly taking it apart and using por 15 on the bottom. thank you i can send pics but i have a feeling someone out there knows exactly what i am talking about.
