Gentlemen:

This is probably one of the better " What If's" ,had they been able to pursue it.

RVSLS,
The wiper motor is a bit of a job . . . it helps if You are about 20 years old & very agile.

There are two very small ( about 4-40 screws with nuts that hold the motor in place ), a couple of vacumn lines and the control cable ( switch ) which mounts through the bottom part of instrument panel. Also the arms to the ( drive units) transmissions, be sure to mark the arms L & R , front, back. Lots of wire to work around & the vent handle maybe in way.

I had the floor boards & transmission out of Packard & on ramps, and it was quite a job but I'm over seventy and kind of slow.

Take your time, be patient it can be done.

Flackmaster & All,

Thanks for the help I found them at Max Merritt, the early style so don't have to rework the rods.

Rod bearings

Just can't stay away

Dave Munger
I would like to get a set of Standard rod bearings for my 1937 120 NOS or Nors. What I've found so far requires re-sizing the rod, I'd really like to avoid that if Possible.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

Dave Munger
I'm fighting the cooling tube, original brass . . .
trying various ways to pull it from block. It just won't
let go and its starting to damage the end, pliers, etc.

I'd really appreciate any further info. or ideas short of using dynamite. 15th series 120.
Thanks,

Todd,

Looks like you're making good progress on the 733.

I've had the pleasure of owning three over the years a 726 &

two 740's. That was many years ago in college & shortly

after.

Success & good luck with your 733.

Help ! for 15th series 120 Packard #316501 or . . .
#69
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Dave Munger
Hello All,
I'll get to the P/N 316501 I really need one! Its the Ignition cable, switch & coil assembly complete if I understand the parts book. I actually have the coil its mounting bracket, so Auto-lite CE-1187-DES switch& cable assembly should work. ( The repair manual lists CE-1187-DFS) so I'm not sure if it's a typo in manuals.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I've already tried Max Merritt, Kanter and other 120 parts suppliers in club publications.

NOS is preferable, and really just the switch & cable assembly ( CE-1187-DES ) found at index 4.1205 in parts manual.

Again, Thanks for any help with this matter.

Very nice looking setup.
However, an intake & WCFB carb make things a bit more interesting. Are these a hard item to obtain ?
