Hi all
I am looking for an early 1920s interior roof (Dome) light in good useable condition. Prefer NICKEL surround but will consider anything Packard.

Thank you Dave
I have looked at e-bay but it is difficult to say what is the correct light for a 1920s Packard. Most seem to be much later into the 50s-60- and later.
Many are just the glass and rim not the complete light and several of the traders seem reluctant to ship outside the USA.
If possible I would like to obtain the correct fitting or at least one from the right period (early 1920s). I hope I am not being too dogmatic. If someone could even show me a photographs of a correct 1920s Packard dome light it would help.

Hi Bernie,

I have a 1929 645 sedan which is still original and it has the dome light shown for the "1929 senior car" in the pdf you attached. I have tried to get out and take a picture of mine to post for you but I have too many projects going on at the moment. Anyway, mine looks exactly like the one in the picture, including the opaque white glass. It is nickel plated, as is almost everything in the car interior, except for the hardware on the jump seats, which is chromed...can't explain that one. Hope this information helps.

If you look at Bernie's Project Blog on the AACA Site you'll find the light situation has been resolved. Refer to Post #1354 on Page 55 and various other posts after that.

Hi
I am sorry not to have been back before this but I have a had a few balls in the air. Not the least the ENV preselect gearbox out of my 1934 Lagonda Rapier.

Mal is correct, David McC has sent me a very suitable rim and glass and I have been able to modify the base from the light with the cracked glass to suit so it all under control.

A big thank you to all who contributed.

Bernie J.
