james; if you want i have a 327 block, head and manifold for your car, all you have to do is bore it and use your crank and rods to rebuild it and you will have a new 327 for your ride. i used the crank and rod for my woodie project. dell

o-d; the bolt center to center on the 28 is eight inches apart and the end of the axle is 7 inches from that plane, i have a small puller that works great on my 42 and both the 48s, however it is to small for the 28. i found one on ebay that appears big enough, but thought the $600.00 price was excessive. if jim has one for a good price it will be better then making one. thanks for the help, dell

hi tim; thanks for the reply, i know that trick, but as i have the car on my two post with no engine and no wheels i can't use it. i am cleaning the frame to repaint it and thought it would be a good time to repack the wheel bearings. i think i will some of the members in my region that have early cars and see if they have a puller. thanks again for the suggestion and also a thanks to all for the pictures. dell

does anyone have any leads on what type of drum puller will work on the 526- my puller for the later models is to small for the 8 bolts in the larger pattern. thanks dell

Home away from home

Dell
today i disassembled one of my rocker arm assembles, the shaft was not held in one spot-it was free to turn. i have seen a post on this before, but don't know how to find it. i know the oil comes up the pin that goes into the cambearing support-or that is what i believe, to lube to rocker shaft. however could not understand how the oil got into shaft. a little help if possible. thanks dell
