Thanks guys. I got the car out today and really looked it over and realized yes you can see the connections from below. I guess I am going to tackle that this weekend.

I removed the dash.. I can say I that is the best way and it wasn't that hard to do either.

How do you replace the vaccume line to the antenna? I can see it but I cannot see a way to reach them.

Silly question... But, since they never worked I have to ask. But in my 48 Custom 8 is the dash lights back lite in red? I rewired my car and put all new bulbs in and as always there were a couple of quirks. Finally got everything except the dash lights to work. But this a.m. going to the gym I saw a glow of red behind the clock. I was wondering if that was what I was suppose to have.

I have a 48 Custom Eight and want to replace my carpet. I found SMS Auto Fabric and they have rug sets in wool or synthetic. I asked about the rubber backing on it and they said it was just like the original. So has anyone ordered from them? I also have the seat material for my car to.

A year of so ago I read something about the overdrives. I have a 48 custom 8. My question is weather it is a R9 or R11 and if I am remembering it right one is on one side of the transmission and the other on the opposite side. But what is what?

Good advise. I would have expected that from the guy that installed mine. Which he did not. But in the end it came out right and it looks great!

I got mine from Kanter. The only problem was that I have a custom 8 and the the bows go forward to aft. They must have sent something that was side to side. Other than that it was great.
