is there a torque spec for the tensioning nut on the snubber rod?if not how do I know when it is tight enough ?

I just bought a 1949 deluxe touring sedan with a 288. im getting 85 to 90 lbs in all 8 cylinders.Does this indicate that a rebuild is necessary?I understand that factory compression is around 110.

After loosening the two bolts that hold the distributor clamp in place,I am still unable to rotate distributor ccw. Need to adjust timing for backfire.Vacuum advance is working fine
