That would be 5/16" OD, would it not? I appreciate the quick response from all of you. There is a lot of very good info in this thread, as that always seems to be the case.

I looked in the shop and parts manuals but could not find the size or material type (steel or SS)for the fuel line from tank to fuel pump for the 56 Pat.
Thanks for any feedback.

My 56 Patrician has 2-(close to 90 degree) bends in the right side as it passes through the frame just ahead of the axle. The left side also has a single 90 degree bend as it passes through the frame and then a longer sweep after it passes through the frame. Plate 20A shows that as being correct but when you look at the pipes on the car it does look weird with those back to back 90's.

I did a carburetor rebuild exchange with Kanter a couple of years ago and it supposedly has been adapted for e 85 ethanol but I suppose time will be the final judge as to that.

I did a little more research on Klassic Kollection and found out they and Kepich are the same company. I also found a lot of negative feedback about both by googling "Kepich" one of the complaints actually states they not only didn't get all of the parts but even after several phone calls and faxes, Kepich would not refund the guys money even though they couldn't produce a valid shipping number. Most of the complaints were bad fit-up's, bad welds, bends, workmanship, and on and on. It seems at least two clubs and at least a couple of magazines have refused to accept anymore adds from Kepich. Could that maybe help explain the Klassic/Kolllection name. I doubt I will chance any dealings with them. I did not however find anything (yet) bad about Classic Exhaust systems, but I am still checking.

That is one of the major drawbacks to buying off the internet, you can't see the actual parts, just pictures of facimilies with no drawings or demensions. Both of the ebay vendors, "Klass Kolections" and the Classic auto exhaust suppliers" say they bend them to exact OEM dimensions but if that is true and they have quality control, there shouldn't be a problem. The problem is even if they do replace defective or ill fitting parts, there is still additional cost of shipping back, sometimes more than once.
I have tried to find a local (50 mile radius) shop that will custom bend the pipes and can supply the mufflers and resonators but, here in the tidewater of Virginia I haven't had any luck. I saved the old tail pipe and muffler from the left side, and the right side is still intact (albeit shot full of holes)on the car. The car didn't have resonators installed when I bought it but, I would want to add them back to the system.

Has anyone have any input about the dual exhaust systems being sold on ebay by Klass Kollections and Classic auto exhaust systems. I don't recall hearing anything (good or bad) about either but, I do recall reading a thread a year or so ago about someone having trouble with Kanters system for the dual 56 Packard. I need to replace both sides, starting with the mufflers all the way back. The pipes from the eng. exh. manifold seem good back to the mufflers but, i'll replace everything while I have it on jack-stands and blocked up.

Rowdy, Sure thing, I will post my findings here "soon I hope" and for your sake and mine I hope it is something very simple and easy to fix.
I'll check out the speedbleeders.com

Thanks to all of you for the very valuable information.
I had found the left front hose was plugged completely and the right rear hose was cracking so I replaced all of the hoses (which I bought from Kanter) and then was getting fluid to all four wheels during the bleeding process, which is a bear of a job to do by one person, even with the so called vacuum pump bleeder. As you know it is not hard physical work, it's just more difficult to get all of the air out of the lines when there is no one at the drivers seat.
I will follow all of the advice as suggested here and let you know what will hopefully be good results. One thing is for sure I should know how all of the various system works on a 56 Pat by the time I'm through, AND THAT IS A GOOD THING!

I haven't had a chance to go through my receipts for the wheel (brake) cylinders but I will (hopefully) be able to shortly. I may have got them from Kanter and not NAPA but I'll verify. The mechanic that was working on the car when I purchased it from the previous owner had bought new brake cylinders from Auto zone or advance auto and they were the right size 1 1/8th for the front and 1" for the rear. They looked identical to the packard cylinders (at first look) but when we tried to install then they would not bolt up correctly. After closer inspection there was a sort of slight bulge on the back casting that is not on the packard cylinders.

The problem with the tredle vac is an extremely hard pedal. I believe it is vacuum related and intend to make that my next task. The brakes work and stop the car (I haven't left the driveway)but without the booster working it is not very safe. If the vacuum checks out okay, I suppose the next thing would be the compensator port.
