Re: White Smoke

I am pretty sure it's blue/white smoke. If the car has sat a week or so when it first starts up will spit out black shoot on floor down by the tail pipe. Thoughts?

What type of oil is suggested for a 38 Super Eight 1603?

Thanks

I have the catalog and see what you talking about. So do you think the long grain is correct for my 38 1603??

What is the material used on top of the roof on my 38 Super 8 1603. Is it vinyl? I need to replace it and need to know what I am asking for. Thanks

I think I will run a low voltage meter on it and see what I come up with.

Thanks

White Smoke

I am new to this 38 Super 8 1603 and still trying to get a feel for the car. When driving the car around town and after it warms up upon down shifting to a stop or starting to take off there is a bit of white smoke coming out the tail pipe. A classic car mechanic says since the car has not been driven much recently I just need to but some miles on it and it should clear up but it still worries me.

Any thoughts??

I did have the same problem with the old battery. This one is new. If the key is left in the ignition that seems to have something to do with it maybe.

For some reason my new battery on my 38 Super Eight seems to go dead after a couple of weeks. I am told the battery is charging fine and there is no draw on the battery but something is wrong.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

Pierre
